The infrared thermometer can be used to measure body temperature by aiming the device at the forehead from 3-5cm away for less than 1 second. This non-contact measurement means that the device does not need to touch the skin, therefore prevents cross-infection. The infrared thermometer has a standard deviation rate of 0.2 Degrees Celsius -0.3 Degrees Celsius when measuring body temperature and 1 Degrees Celsius when measuring objects.
